| 2001 Season: Build a motor
[9/15/99] Got a 1985 460/C6 with 87K miles off E-bay. This is my "tune-up" motor. [2/12/00] Got a Weiand Stealth intake manifold off of E-bay. [7/10/00] Got a set of D8VE Heads, Comp 270H cam, timing set off of E-bay  [7/24/00] Got an Explorer EEC-IV wiring harness and injector rails from E-bay [______] Convert to EFI; cheap, if possible [8/20/00] Got a Pro-Torque 2,500 RPM stall torque converter. [7/14/01] Head porting on D8VE castings :  [7/28/01] One head is complete. Took about 8 hours of grinding  [8/04/01] Matched intake ports to the Weiand Stealth CJ intake.  [8/04/01] Removed the EGR bump and smoothed the exhaust passages.  [8/04/01] Streamlined the valve guides and and cleaned up the bowl area. [9/15/01] Sold car but still have "tune up" motor...need any parts ? |

[4/15/00] Completed a set of custom headers from "Headers by Ed". 
 [5/21/00] Added 10" subwoofer, 640 watt amp, cruise control for Power Tour 2K. [10/9/00] Changed to 3.50:1 gears to improve ET: 13.2 s at 102.95 mph...> |
| 1999 Season: Documented the construction and started driving it.
[9/25/99] Started up the web site...The off season is a great time to do this kind of stuff. When the weather is bad, I can still work on the car project.  |
