Mrs. Carrie Anna Schoeffel Watson Rites
Sunday; Many Direct Descendants Survive
Complications caused the death Thursday noon at her home
of Mrs. Carrie
Anna Watson, 159 Race street. She was in her 92nd year.
Born March 4, 1851 in this city, the daughter of Jacob
and Louise Rebstock
Schoeffel, she was the widow of the late Albert E. Watson who died
five years
ago. At the time of Mr. Watson's death, the couple had been married
62 years.
A brother, Jacob Schoeffel of this city, and a sister
, Mrs. Louise Gobey of
Columbus, survive, together with four daughters, 22 grandchildren,
23 great-
grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The daughters are Mrs. Alice McFerrin, Mrs. Bertha McKinney,
and Mrs.
Carrie Barrows of this city, and Mrs. Mabel Recob of Akron.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p. m. Sunday from the Whitsel
funeral
home with the Rev. August Schneider officiating. Burial will be in
Greenlawn
cemetary.
