Residence of George Penn in Kingston, Ohio around 1890.
From the right: Sherman Grant Penn, Unknown, Unknown, George Penn, George's oldest daughter (Ethel), and probably a younger daughter. This dwelling is still standing in downtown Kingston next to a bank drive-thru. The dwelling served as the family residence, barber shop, and pool hall. Notice the unusual barber pole located a few feet in front of building steps. The bottom of the pole has the initials G.B.P (George Byron Penn). This dwelling was originally owned by George's wife (Elizabeth Scherr) parents: Peter G. Scherr and Elizabeth Weisbacher, both born in Germany.
